If the title didn’t give it away, I’ve officially hit the half-century mark. That’s 50 revolutions around the sun — or as I prefer to think of it, five decades of gathering experience points.

Being Gen X means I’ve lived through a unique bridge in history. I remember the world before the internet, but I was also there the moment the modem started screaming its digital birth cry. My life has been shaped by the stories told in galaxies far, far away and the cold, logical frontiers of the United Federation of Planets. Whether it’s the rugged heroism of Star Wars or the hopeful futurism of Star Trek, these universes didn't just entertain me—they built the foundation for how I see the world.

A Lifetime on the Digital Front Lines

I’ve been a gamer for my entire life. From the chunky pixels of the early arcade era to the photorealistic worlds of today, gaming has been the consistent thread. It wasn't just a hobby; it was the "gateway drug" into my life as an IT Professional.

Working in tech for as long as I have gives you a certain perspective. You see the cycles—the "next big thing" that looks a lot like the "last big thing," just with better CSS. But through all the migrations, deployments, and troubleshooting, that core curiosity has never faded.
